## _PetroChem Wire_: Recycled polyethylene falls in December
_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_
HDPE HMW film pellets rose a penny in late December on a rash of year-end buying for January delivery, but all other grades eased slightly as eager sellers met limited buying interest.
HDPE HMW film grade, mixed color pellet sold at 50 cents per pound, up approximately 1 cent at the end of 2012. HDPE frac melt dairy natural pellets fell 2 cents per pound to end December at 57-59 cents per pound. On regrind, LDPE inj natural and MC prices also declined 2 cents per pound late in the month to 36-38 and 31-33 cpp respectively. Virgin HDPE HMW prices rose in December, with railcars selling at end-December in the U.S. Gulf up 1-2 cents per pound from November.
