The **Maine Department of Environmental Protection** has completed its third **report on product stewardship** in the state and is now [soliciting comments](http://www.maine.gov/dep/waste/productstewardship/2013report/index.html) through January 14.

Researchers at the University of Science and Technology in Beijing have developed a **wet process for recycling circuit boards**. This technology is described in Patent Application No. 20120318681.

**Dell has opened 16 electronics recycling collection points in 13 Indian cities** where consumers they can [drop off](http://www.itnewsonline.com/showbwstory.php?storyid=8664) their used electronics free of charge and regardless of brand. The drop-off points are an extension of the company's global free recycling program that seeks to boost recycling of electronics.

If all the unwanted mobile phones in the U.S. were to physically be lined up, there would be **a mobile phone trail from San Francisco to the North Pole and back**, according to a new [survey](https://www.lookout.com/resources/reports/mobile-mindset) conducted by Lookout, a mobile security company. The survey also found that 62 percent of respondents had at least one unused mobile phone in their household, among other findings.
