## December sees lower rPET prices
_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_
Plentiful supply, waning year-end buying interest and lower bale prices drove recycled PET prices down in December.
FDA clear pellets, which were quoted at 78-81 cents per pound in late November, ranged closer to 76-79 cents per pound in the final weeks of December. Similarly, prices for all grades of flake rPET were lower in late December versus end-November. Green flake for sheet and filament fiber, which sold above 45 cents in late November, sold at 41-44 cents per pound at the end of the year. Clear flake for staple fiber use fell roughly the same amount in December and was quoted around 45 cents at the end of the month.
