E-Structors is a R2 certified, woman-owned electronics recycling firm with 135 employees. Their 187,000 square foot facility processes 22 million pounds of e-scrap per year and 2011 company revenue was approximately $7.1 million.

"Having a location near Washington D.C. will allow [Sims] to not only build on the great partnerships we have with federal agencies, but more effectively service our existing government agreements, including our five-year Department of Defense contract," explained Sims Recycling Solutions president Steve Skurnac.

Terms of the acquisition, including the roles of E-Structors personnel, were not disclosed.
