Plastics Recycling Update Magazine: PetroChem Wire: Recycled PP prices hold steady

## _PetroChem Wire_: Recycled PP prices hold steady

_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_

Recycled polypropylene prices were little changed in August. But adequate supply late in the month and expectations of higher stocks at the end of the third quarter seemed to be exerting some downward pressure.

Most spot business for CoPP black repro was reported in the 49-52 cents per pound range at the end of August, down slightly from the middle of the month. HOPP black pellets sold for 50-53 cents per pound. Most flake PP grades sold very close to July levels, with black CoPP flake material in the mid-40s cents per pound range. August generic spot prime PP prices rose a half cent.
