## Patent watch
Astoria Industries of Iowa, Inc. has received Patent No. 8,361,358, which describes a **method of recycling fiberglass reinforced plastics**.
A pair of inventors -- Frank Levy of Quoque, New York, and Sergio Dell'Orco of Capalle, Italy -- have received Patent No. 8,360,348, which describes a **method and apparatus for recycling used carpet**.
Thomas Valerio has received Patent No. 8,360,242, which describes a **method for sorting and separating plastics from other materials** using a combination of chemical and mechanical processes.
