Resource Recycling Magazine: Recycling challenge hits half-way mark

## Recycling challenge hits half-way mark

_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_

The SC Johnson Green Choices Recycling Challenge, a six-month competition that challenges communities across the country to compete for the highest reported recycling participation, has reached its half-way mark.

The [competition](https://www.recyclebank.com/greenchoices), which was developed with the help of Recyclebank, includes 50 communities, one in each state, which will attempt to out-collect each other in hopes of winning a $100,000 sustainability grant from SC Johnson. After three months, Lakes at Red Rock, a gated community in Virginia leads the Challenge with Huntington Woods, Michigan, an affluent suburb of Detroit, and Horace, the fastest-growing city in North Dakota, trailing not far behind.
