Speaker: Treatment plants aren't the only facilities to treat leachate

In 2008, 20 years after a landfill cell was capped, the Delaware Solid Waste Authority installed a man-made wetlands treatment system to help manage the leachate. The plants decontaminate the leachate by absorbing toxic compounds from the water.
