Plastics Recycling Update Magazine: PetroChem Wire: Recycled PE prices mixed in July

## PetroChem Wire: Recycled PE prices mixed in July

The price spread for pellet form fractional melt HDPE dairy natural widened in July, with large volumes of business discussed and transacted in the 56-62 cents per pound range, up from the mid-50s cents per pound level a month earlier. Both natural and mixed color film grade pellets were quoted about 5 cents per pound lower in July though, at around 46-47 cents per pound and 40 cents per pound, respectively.

Some PE flake grades were tighter in July, supporting slightly higher prices. HDPE injection crate grade, mixed colors, sold in July for 44-45 cents per pound, up a penny.
