**Minneapolis is considering new rules** that would require large events, such as parades and races, to recycle their waste, reports [_www.minnpost.com_][1]. The city already has [mandatory commercial recycling][2].

**Vermont's Agency of Natural Resources and Department of Environmental Conservation** are seeking [proposals][3] to conduct **a comprehensive analysis of the state's waste stream**, as well as costs and benefits related to diverting specific material types. The proposal comes in anticipation of the enactment of Vermont's [universal recycling law][4].

**ShoeBox Recycling**, a shoe recycling company based in Fairless Hill, Pennsylvania, is partnering with **Fusion Logistics**, an authorized sales and service partner of UPS, to help the company develop a convenient and uncomplicated shipping process for customers to [send in their unwanted shoes for recycling and reuse][5].

You've probably heard about problems of **marine plastic pollution**. Now a team of French industrial designers have developed a [drone][6] that swims through the ocean, collecting plastic and other debris in its net for recycling, while warding off fish with an infrasound system.
