Plastics Recycling Update Magazine: PetroChem Wire: Recycled PP prices declined in June

## PetroChem Wire: Recycled PP prices declined in June

_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_

Pellet and flake pricing for recycled PP fell in June. Near the end of the month, HoPP mixed color pellets sold at 50 cents per pound, down nearly 10 cents from May selling levels. CoPP pellets sold for 52 cents per pound in June, also down sharply from May.

The price decline in the flake market was less precipitous. HoPP black regrind transacted in June in the 42-45 cents per pound range, a decline of several cents per pound. The CoPP black flake material price range, at 43-45 cents per pound, was slightly higher than black homopolymer, but still declined by as much as 5 cents per pound from May levels. In the prime polypropylene market, spot prices fell 6-7 cents per pound in June.
