Plastics Recycling Update Magazine: NewsBits

Residents of **Houston** will now be able to bring **polystyrene** to the [Westpark Recycling Center][1]. The center can now take the difficult-to-recycle material because of a donated Polymax 1500 densification system manufactured by Total Petrochemicals and Refining USA, Inc.

Plastic bag manufacturer Pak-Sher and Texas' Kilgore Economic Development Corp. are [teaming up][2] to offer **plastic bag recycling incentives** in Kilgore, Texas. KEDC provided a $25,000 grant to partially reimburse the company for plastic bag processing equipment to deal with the anticipated volume from the "Keep it in Kilgore" campaign, which encourages local school children to bring in bags for recycling.

U.K.-based 300 Recycling and Florida-based NextLife have [announced][3] a **strategic partnership to process food-grade plastic** collected in the U.K. and Europe.
