The **City of San Antonio** is [seeking proposals from processors of single-stream recyclables](http://www.sanantonio.gov/RFPListings/). The Lone Star city collects the materials and wants to contract with a processing firm. Proposals are due in late January.
**Nendo**, a Tokyo-based design firm has partnered with **Coca-Cola** to release a new line of tableware made from **recycled glass soda bottles** called [Bottleware](http://www.cocacola.co.jp/bottleware/en/). The five-piece collection of dishes and serving bowls is **handcrafted by glass blowers** in the Aomori prefecture from Coca-Cola bottles. A man wielding a **"spear gun" robbed a recycling center** run by SARCAN in **Kamsack, Saskatchewan** on Saturday, reports [_CVT News_](http://regina.ctvnews.ca/man-armed-with-spear-gun-robs-recycling-depot-in-kamsack-1.1072256). After getting away with an undisclosed amount of money, law enforcement later caught up with him and he now faces a litany of charges.
There is an upcoming feature-length documentary called "[Landfill Harmonic](http://vimeo.com/52711779)" about, [according to the filmmakers](http://www.facebook.com/landfillharmonicmovie), a "remarkable musical orchestra in Paraguay, where **young musicians play instruments made from trash**."
