## Ohio processor preps for expansion

_By Editorial Staff, Resource Recycling_

Geo-Tech Polymers LLC has [secured financing](http://www.geo-tech.com/news.aspx) to open a second processing facility.

Following its acquisition last June by Wastren Advantage, Inc., Geo-Tech began planning to significantly expand its capacity and service offerings. Geo-Tech, which recycles plastics from automotive, packaging and electronic scrap, predicts the expansion to a 123,000-square-foot facility in Waverly, Ohio, will create approximately 50 new jobs.

The expansion was aided by $1.2 million loan through the Jobs Ohio program; a $50,000 grant from U.S. Department of Energy sub-contractor Fluor-B&W Portsmouth's Community Commitment Plan; a $50,902 job creation tax credit from the state; as well as a $460,000 loan through Pike County's Community Development Block Grant program.
